Getting a puppy can be overwhelming, but with Bond Furever's 4-week private training course can help you set you and your puppy up for success! The 4-week course consists of one hour session* a week for four weeks at the comfort of your own home. This course is best suited for puppies under 6 months old. I cover vital exercises that will be used for everyday life with your puppy. Here's a rough breakdown of how the course can look. Week one: We cover the most important cues you can teach your puppy, which is all the best focus exercises and relationship building games. Being able to gain focus from your puppy makes training a whole lot easier. We'll also discuss the importance of learning correct socialisation. Week two: We cover place training, an important exercise to help your puppy settle. It's super important for our puppies to learn to rest and switch off. Did you know puppies should have 18-20 hours rest a day? Place training can be used in and outside the home and can really help with unwanted behaviours such as barking and visitor excitement. Week three: We use all our learnings from week one and cover the super important topics for the outside world: recall and loose lead walking! We go over all the best loose lead and recall exercises. Week four: We enjoy some confidence building exercises and can also use this for any personal requests, most popular requests are learning the 'leave it' and 'drop it' cues. I understand that every pup and every owner has their unique needs, and that's why each week can be customised to you and your puppy. I hold a Level 3 Puppy Training Specialist Certification and have a puppy of my own so have recently gone through it all first hand! *Each session lasts up to one hour, though most of this time is spent discussing and providing advice. Puppies need up to 20 hours of sleep a day, so young puppy's typically will start to lose focus or fall asleep after 20-45 minutes, depending on individual needs. However, even if your pup does snooze through a whole session theres still so much we can cover, so no need to worry!
