Peanut is a sweet girl who’s been on an incredible journey over the past 10 weeks. She’s been joining me for Solo Training Walks, and her progress has been nothing short of inspiring. 🌟
When we first started, the world outside her home felt overwhelming for Peanut. The sound of noisy passing cars, the presence of other dogs, and even some strangers would make her uneasy. Leaving the driveway was a challenge, but with a patient and understanding approach, Peanut has started to find her feet (and her confidence!) in the outside world.
Our last walk before Christmas, Peanut achieved a milestone that deserves to be celebrated: she walked confidently out of her driveway and down the road with only one small pause 🎉. What might seem like a tiny moment to some is a huge victory for Peanut and a testament to her courage and growth.
Her progress doesn’t stop there. Peanut is becoming more resilient every day. Single cars passing by no longer cause worry, and she’s working hard to feel safe even when multiple cars pass in quick succession. Through engage/disengage training and calm walks in quiet cul-de-sacs, she’s building a sense of security that grows stronger with every session.
Of course, none of this would be possible without her incredible owners. Their dedication and hard work between sessions have been instrumental in Peanut’s transformation. Training success is always a team effort, and Peanut’s journey highlights what’s possible when love, patience, and commitment come together. 💪
Peanut’s story is a reminder that even the smallest steps forward deserve recognition. Every dog’s journey is unique, and progress comes in all shapes and sizes.
If you have a nervous or reactive dog who could benefit from one-to-one sessions or solo training walks, I’d love to help. With a diploma in Canine Reactivity and Body Language, I specialise in working with dogs who find the outside world a little scary. Whether your dog needs help building confidence or learning to navigate their environment, let’s take those first steps together. 🐾
Here’s to helping more dogs like Peanut thrive in 2025! 💛
